The latest addition to the white rabbit range comes in the form of a whole family of Penny and Percy owl doorstops made by yours truely. I think the hand dyed fabric (courtesy of Hannah Dawson) really adds individual character to each one - plus the colours are GORGEOUS! :-D On a related note, the White Rabbit website is now live! The address is www.whiterabbitclothing.co.uk - have a browse to see what you think :-)
I have recently decided that my collection of fabric has got a little out of hand…. therefore I have set myself a challenge: I am not allowed to buy any more fabric and therefore anything I want to make has to be from what I already have in my cupboard. This cape is the first thing that has been made in this challenge and I’m really pleased!
This dress was one I found on the sale rail in a vintage shop at Brighton. My friends all laughed at me when I said I was going to wear that 80’s pink monstrosity - complete with leg-o-mutton sleeves - to our graduation ball. But with a few alterations (shortening of the sleeves and hem, changing the shape of the neck line and adding a sparkly waistband) wear it I did!
Apologies for being away for so long, this summer has been busy but I really have no excuse! However, I will once more be posting regularly as I attempt to kick start both my own dressmaking business as well as continuing with White Rabbit, the business I started with my friends and fellow students, Phoebe Quare and Hannah Dawson.
Beautiful Beach huts from along the South coast :-)
Here are the first pictures from my on location fashion shoot. Pictures were taken and edited by the lovely Stephanie De Gois!
